Love Is a Many Splendored Thing!
Fall in love with your photos and the memories they hold (again or for the first time). This is easy to do if you can find them! If this causes you panic, concern, or melancholy, know that Start Here is ready to help. Below are steps you can take to access memories of love, laughter, and fun times. This does not have to be your entire photo library or be all consuming when it comes to your time.
Physical Photos – Rainy days are perfect opportunities to sit with an album/box of photos and sort through what you have. While you are at it, make notes of who is in the images (with a photo safe pencil or post-it notes). You can also earmark photos to digitize for easy sharing with family and friends or to upload to digital photo frames.
Digital photos on your computer – Pick a folder to review. If you have a platform like Lightroom or Mylio, you can take time to ID faces, add geographical information, or other notes and stories.
Digital photos on your phone – Take a few minutes the next time you are waiting in a doctors office (or for your kids to finish their homework) to travel back in time and see what is stored on your phone. If you have spent more than 5 minutes with me (and own an iPhone) then you know how much I love Ollie and how easy it is to clean up your phone’s photo library.
If you have any questions about some or all of these concepts, be in touch, my calendar is here for you! If you want to try any and/or all of these suggestions, but feel you do not have the time, check out the link below for my free, monthly Sip & Sort accountability session. Lastly, if you want your handheld (or have someone else do this for you), Start Here is here for you!
