My My Mylio!
How quickly can you find your favorite summer photo? Can you pull up an image right as a virtual meeting is starting and you need to hide your messy living room? Maybe your virtual background and favorite photo are one and the same!
If you have ever been on a Zoom call with me, you should know that these are not rhetorical questions, but a reality I live, often. More than once I have had to jump on a virtual call (on a platform different than Zoom) and the last thing I want anyone to see is the state of my home office (AND I like to be reminded of my travels).
To help keep my photos organized, I rely on photo organizing software.
Depending on which universe you live in (Apple or not), there are many options for you to choose from; Adobe Lightroom, Amazon Photos, Apple Photos, Forever, Google Photos, Mylio, SmugMug (just to name a few!). For the last year I have worked with the Team over at Mylio to learn everything. It is currently the software I am using to organize and curate my personal library and am now a Mylio Certified Consultant.

Why do I like Mylio?
• It allows me to access my ENTIRE photo library from ALL my devices; my PC, my iPhone, and my (well Matt’s) iPad. When I say my ENTIRE library, I mean my entire image library. At the writing of this newsletter this is 68,643 file types (photos, videos, and documents) representing 245 GB of space (to give you an idea of how cool this is, my iPhone is 128GB)!
• It is easy to organize my photos in folders, albums, events, and locations (I LOVE the mapping feature).
• It is easy to search for photos I am looking for.
• I can sync it to my BackBlaze account so I know that I am following my 3-2-1 policy and that my photo library is safe and secure.
