September in March?!

Did you know that there is a whole month dedicated to sharing information about saving your photos? In 2014, The Photo Managers launched ‘Save Your Photos Day’, in September, after witnessing families recover from the disasters of Hurricane Sandy and the Joplin tornadoes. Over the years this ‘Day’ got more and more popular and there was a request for more and more information. In 2016, ‘Save Your Photos Day’ evolved into ‘Save Your Photos Month’! But, devastatingly, with disasters happening year-round, Start Here with Lisa and The Photo Managers believe that the time to prepare is now—not just in September.

As a result, you get a little bit of September in March! Save Your Photos Week is a public service campaign designed to help you protect your most cherished memories before it’s too late.

Below is a schedule of YouTube Live events planned in March. These free and informative events are daily at 1pm PST / 4 PM EST. If you can, please mark your calendar for the presentation on March 23rd: How to Digitize Your Photos Like a Pro (presented by yours truly). If you cannot attend live, not to worry, the recordings will be available to you on demand. All you have to do is sign up (for free) at Save Your Photos Month.

Another important thing that is happening during this initiative is LA Strong. This is a free photo scanning, community-driven event to help Los Angeles families preserve their memories. The goal is to scan 250,000 photos – FREE of CHARGE! You can learn more about this initiative here. Please, please, please – if you are in the LA area please visit this site and share this information.

Disasters can destroy a lifetime of memories in an instant—let’s make sure your photos are protected! The time to start is now and the place to start is here! Let Start Here guide you in organizing, digitizing, and preserving your important photos and documents. My calendar is open for you.
